Sojourner Gallery is pleased to announce Peeping Series, a solo exhibition of established Chinese artist Zhengdao Zhang, featuring the masterpieces of his latest work.
Over a period of more than ten years, Zhang Zhengdao has explored various styles of painting, a process that has eventually led to a technique that has now matured to a unique artistic style. In this peeping series, Zhang Zhengdao has sublimated Xie Chuyu's realistic style of oil painting making it more abstract, and incorporated Lei Zhenhua's use of colors in these abstract compositions. The bold contrast of colors invites the viewer to a new realm of art and humanity.
Curated by April Zhang-Autio, the exhibition will be on view from November 30th to December 15th, 2019, with an opening reception on Saturday, November 30th, 6pm – 8pm. Please join us in celebrating ZhengDao Zhang’s first solo exhibition in New York.
